Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board)

CFP Board is a non-profit standards-setting organization whose mission is to benefit the public by granting the CFP® certification and upholding it as a recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning. CFP Board owns the certification marks CFP, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and in the U.S. and currently authorizes over 63,000 individuals to use these marks. CFP® certification is granted to individuals who hold a bachelor's degree, complete a financial planning curriculum, pass a comprehensive 10-hour examination, demonstrate that they have at least three years of professional experience in financial services, and agree to abide by CFP Board's Code of Ethics that requires CFP® professionals to provide financial planning services as a fiduciary – acting in the best interests of their clients. CFP Board’s disciplinary enforcement of its ethical standards further distinguishes CFP® certification from other industry designations. Financial Planning Association (FPA)
The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) is the leadership and advocacy organization connecting those who need, support and deliver professional financial planning. FPA is the largest membership organization for personal financial planning experts in the U.S. and includes professionals from all backgrounds and business models. FPA members adhere to the highest standards of professional competence, ethical conduct and clear, complete disclosure to those they serve. Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP)

The Foundation for Financial Planning helps people take control of their financial lives by connecting the financial planning community with people in need. U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM)

The U.S. Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. Each city is represented in the Conference by its chief elected official, the mayor. The primary roles of USCM are to promote the development of effective national urban/suburban policy; strengthen federal-city relationships; ensure that federal policy meets urban needs; provide mayors with leadership and management tools; and create a forum in which mayors can share ideas and information.
